Hello! My name is Makayla Schutz. I graduated from College of Saint Benedict in May 2023 with a bachelor's degree in Elementary Education with an endorsement in 5-8 Mathematics. I student taught in 6th Grade in Eden Valley and over at the High School in Math in the Spring of 2023. After graduation I started teaching 6th Grade at Eden Valley- Watkins Elementary in the fall of 2023. 

I grew up and currently live in Cold Spring. I enjoy camping, reading, fishing, swimming, spending time with my family and friends and going on walks. 

My goal as a Sixth Grade teacher is to help students achieve their goals along with creating a fun, collaborative, safe and engaging learning environment. I am excited to be a part of my students' transitions over to High School and prepare them for the future. My goal is to have my students be excited to come into my classroom each day!
