Welcome to my page! My name is Heather Nathan and I am one of the ADSIS team members here at EVW. The goal of ADSIS is to provide instruction and services to K-12 students who need additional academic or behavioral support to succeed in the general education environment. I will be based at Eden Valley Elementary and have taught in the district since 2010. I am excited about working with small groups of students to help them thrive in their education.  I strongly believe all students can succeed with the proper support.  

I graduated from St. Cloud State University in 2010 with a degree in Elementary Education. I then went back to school and earned my Masters Degree from St. Mary's University.  I have since taken LETRS training and other courses to focus on how children learn to read.  It is my hope that with this knowledge I can help students unlock the "code" of the English language to become better readers.  

I currently live in Richmond with my husband, Darren, and 3 children.  We enjoy being outdoors, going to our land in Staples and spending time with family and friends.  I enjoy reading, crocheting and all things creative.  When I am not busy chasing after my children, I can be found on the deck with a good book or trying a new recipe in the kitchen.
