Hello! My name is Liz Otto, and I am originally from Buffalo, MN. Buffalo is where I still reside with my husband and two sons.  I have been teaching English at EVW since 2011. I graduated from St. Cloud State University with a Bachelors of Science degree in Communication Arts and Literature. Since that time, I have also completed my Masters in Literacy from Minnesota State University-Mankato.

I believe that the classroom is a place in which kids should feel safe to express their opinions, feel connected to their peers and teacher, and be able to learn in their own way. My job as their teacher is to foster an environment in which this can take place. I became a teacher not only because I am enthusiastic about my subject area, but also because I am passionate about guiding students in their learning. I work hard to connect with students and teach content in new and interactive ways.

I am also the advisor for the Jr. High Honor Society.
